The INet Gateway is a powerful, in-house developed platform that streamlines rail operations. It enables users to access and manage live visit records, car data, inspection photos, and usage analytics—all from a single, intuitive interface.

The INetRail® Mobile Scribe is a groundbreaking device that revolutionizes railcar management with its ability to both read and write AEI tags . Running a full Windows 10 operating system, it offers unmatched flexibility for handling AEI tags and optimizing rail operations. Unlike anything else on the market, the Scribe enhances efficiency, accuracy, and ease of use in the field.

In an era of remote work, Industrial Networks delivers integrated, contactless solutions to optimize rail operations. By leveraging AAR-mandated AEI technology, we eliminate paperwork, reduce errors, and enhance daily logistics efficiency.

The INet Gateway Database

The INet Gateway is a new customer platform built in-house at Industrial Networks in Spring, TX. Gateway allows users to easily complete rail activities such as accessing and sorting live visit records, viewing and downloading car data and inspection photos, reviewing usage analytics for your operation, and more.

Inventory

INetRail Mobile® Inventory helps rail operators track car locations, movements, and statuses within their yard. By scanning AEI tags, users can update railcar locations and set statuses like Load, Hold, or Bad Order. It also enables demurrage prevention through alerts, easy creation of inbound/outbound lists, and provides enhanced visibility of facility operations.

Inspect

INetRail Mobile® Inspect allows users to complete railcar inspections and send results directly to the INet Gateway database. Using customer-provided templates, it replicates existing inspection processes. “Hot List” alerts notify users of required repairs, and once signed off, an inspection record is automatically uploaded to INet Gateway, ensuring a paperless and efficient operation.

Photo

INetRail Mobile® Photo utilizes the 8-megapixel camera on the INT300 tablet to allow users to take photos of railcars, products, damaged components, or whatever other operational photos they may need. To wit, these photos can be associated with a railcar, so that any information you may need regarding that car is in one place within the INet Gateway. Accessible straight from many other INetRail applications, Photo brings an extra layer of tracking railcars and product into any supply chain.

Seals

Many supply chain operators are familiar with security seals; they’re an integral part of many logistics operations and help ensure safety and liability requirements are satisfied in many instances. INetRail Mobile® Seals allows for simple management and tracking of security seals in your operation. Collect, change, and update seal information, see information and alerts associated with the railcar the seal is attached to, assign seal types to individual seals, and more with this simple, yet powerful core INetRail application.

Scribe

INetRail Mobile® Scribe allows operators to reprogram mounted AEI tags from wherever you are. By utilizing OCR (optical camera recognition) technology, the tablet’s camera reads the railcar stencil and communicates with the UMLER database in order to make the necessary changes on its record. In leveraging this powerful technology, railroads, repair shops, and manufacturers can eliminate the need to order programmed tags at higher prices or take the chance of mounting tags to wrong cars, saving both time and money and further automating existing activities into more efficient practices.

Switch List

The INetRail Mobile® Switch List application allows users to manage switch requests efficiently. Switch List offers a clear list of existing switch requests, allowing users to easily navigate and find the information they need. Users also have the ability to perform various actions such as deleting requests, editing location details, and confirming switch requests. Additionally, users can attach and view notes or comments associated with specific switch requests, enhancing communication and documentation. INetRail Mobile® Scribe

For years, programming AEI tags has been a costly, time-consuming practice that nonetheless is required per AAR regulations in order to keep railcar information up to date and keep North American lines moving safely. With the new INet Scribe tablet, re-programming tags have never been easier.  For the first time in the industry, the Scribe provides an option besides the large stationary machine+monitor setup.

In INet’s new patented technology, we’ve made this dream of operators everywhere a reality. Beyond completing data collection activities such as railcar inspections, inventory, photos, etc., the INT400 series allows you to reprogram mounted AEI tags from wherever you have a working Wi-Fi or cellular connection.
